Booking is simple: pick a date and time from the calendar below and you get the confirmation straight away. My practice is in Pasiano di Pordenone and each session lasts 60 minutes.

If this is your first time seeing an osteopath, it's normal not to know what to expect. Here's how it goes, step by step, so you arrive without worrying.

What the first visit is like

We start by talking. I ask what you feel, how long it's been going on, what makes it worse and what your day looks like: your work, the hours you spend sitting, sport, sleep. That's often where the piece of the story that explains the rest comes out.

Then I watch you move. I'll ask you to stand, to bend, to turn your head, to repeat the movement that bothers you. I look at how your body organises itself in movement, not just at the spot that hurts.

After that I assess with my hands. I look for the areas that move little, the tight tissues, the joints that don't follow along. It's an assessment made of touch and listening: I'll ask you to tell me when you feel something.

Only at the end comes the treatment. I choose the techniques for you, based on what I found and on what your body tolerates, and I explain what I'm about to do before I do it. If something doesn't feel right, you say so and we change it.

You leave knowing three things: what I found, what to expect over the following days and what you can do at home.

What to bring

  • an ID document and, if you have one, your health card;
  • tests, X-rays, MRI scans or reports about the problem, even old ones;
  • a list of any medication you take;
  • comfortable clothes, the kind you'd wear to the gym: during the assessment I'll ask you to move.

If you have none of this, come anyway: we can work well starting from what you tell me alone.

If you need to move or cancel

If you can't make it, let me know at least 24 hours before your appointment: freeing up the slot in time lets someone else take it. A WhatsApp message is perfectly fine.

Is yours a particular situation — a pregnancy, a small child, recent surgery, a doubt about whether osteopathy suits your case? Write or call me before booking: we'll talk it through and work out together what the right thing to do is. You'll find every way to reach me on the Contact page.

What you read here describes how I work, and does not replace an assessment at the practice.
